Szkoła Misyjna im. Pawła Apostoła

I'm very glad that I could be here.  It's wonderful that this Mission School exists in Poland. My life won't be the same from here on out. /Dawid/

Thank you for this conference.  I came here to seek, observe, and wait on God to speak to me.  And He spoke to me through the reports of mission activities where I saw the huge needs of people, the lack of hope, poverty, lack of love, and how evil is affecting those weak and small.  God wants to meet these needs through us.  I would like to think about all this and pray about how I and my family can join and be a part of God's plan.  Thank you for your good work.  I see that God is using you. /Magda/

Hearing about the situations of Christians in various countries greatly enlarges ones perspective and teaches humility.  I feel humbled (in the positive sense of exhortation) by various people's commitment to the Lord.  I'm encouraged to be more radically committed in my service to the Lord (prayer, helping the needy, evangelism).  It's just too bad there weren't more people attending this conference. /Anita/

This school shows that every disciple of Jesus Christ has his mission (whether 2 km away or 200,000 km) and that without missions the Church won't grow.  The whole Church is called to be involved in missions (either by going or through supporting). /Alicja/

Coming to this Open School Session I had expected that God would remind me of my calling and challenge me to new things.  As usual with God, everything was beyond my expectations.  This was a time of encouragement for me, of refreshment, a reminder of the importance of missions and the Great Commission.  Again I see the immense need to preach the Gospel, and that "laborers" are still too few. /Ania/

I'm so glad I came.  I'm encouraged and built up.  It was a very unique time.  The testimonies of missionaries really touched me.  May God bless you all and anoint you in serving Him further. /Agnieszka/

I'm really glad I could come.  Driving here I was thinking that God has something for me-something to raise my spirits and pour hope into my heart.  These things and more I received during this weekend.  Plus I got to know the point of missions better.  During the weekend God placed this on my hart.  I reflected on a lot of things and I realize I need to prioritize things in my life by what is most important.  The desire for this transformation has been with me for some time, but God shed more light on these matters for me.  I thank God for you all.  May His care and our prayers always be with you. /Zbyszek/

Meeting with missionaries, mostly young people, impressed upon me the need to share the Lord's joy among others, maybe even in far off places.  It encouraged me to sign up for the school and move out on the path with Jesus in front.  God is waiting for me and for you. /Grzegorz/

With all my heart I thank God that He is moving the hearts of people and is sending them into missions, so that the name of Jesus Christ would be known in the whole world.  This Mission School session was an amazing time for me of learning more of God's power and His great love for each person.  I believe that people are seeking God and want to know Him.  A missionary is such a person who is announcing the Gospel of the Resurrected Christ, and the Mission School is to help him in discovering his calling and in preparing him for mission outreach.  May God bless all of you! /Dasza/

It was an inspiring time of looking at missions and evangelization globally, by people involved in missions and who know mission work from the practical side - of both successes and setbacks. /Paweł/

It was a valuable weekend.  During the sessions I had the chance to see and hear how God is working in various corners of the world.  God is doing amazing things, is revealing Himself in various ways, showing His love.  I realize how God is omnipresent and is using people who He is sending.  The needs are truly great, which forces one to confront his personal place in the global mission plan of God. /Wojtek/

This was a very unique time.  I widened my view of world mission, not only about what is happening in Poland.  I realized that I've had a very conforming way of treating life.  I haven't really committed to God everything - a major part of what I have perhaps - but not everything.  I understood that He wants everything, or nothing.  I thank God that He used my husband to bring me here.  I'll be asking God what He has for us as a couple. I think there are a lot of similarities between me and Jonah.  But I believe that God will be working in me. /Monika/

I'm earnestly asking Jesus to give me His heart and His mind.  I ask that God will break the pot which I am and put it back together again.  That's what came to me during this weekend. /Janusz/

Dear God, thank you with all my heart and soul for this time which I could spend getting to know you better as our Lord Jesus Christ who is doing great things around the world through the working of your Holy Spirit, "using" people with earnest hearts.  "How great You are, doing wondrous works today".Dear Jesus, lead each person called and chosen to different parts of the world.  Save each of us, in Your wonderful name JESUS. /Lidia/

This time spent in Milanowek made me realize how great is the harvest in people and how valuable it is in God's eyes that harvest workers would be called to the Lord's work.  It taught me too how much humility is needed, as well as strength and faith that God is, that He is working, and will be working.  I see the importance of supporting these brothers who God is using to preach the love of Jesus, bringing others hope and faith.  I am encouraged to help. /Tadeusz/

During my ethnology classes at university, I am being taught that my European world is only one among a thousand others, that my system of morals is only one among a thousand others, and that my religion is also only one among a thousand others -- that I don't have the right to place one system higher than another, to place my system higher than that of another.

After these 3 days, my all-tolerance and all-relativity gave way to the certainty that only JESUS is the way for salvation for every person in every corner of the world.  I also realize that I could be a missionary, without at the same time being a missionary of my own civilization, bringing its loud cars and tall skyscrapers. /Diana/

Open School Session

(OTWARTY ZJAZD SZKOŁY)

(23-25 October 2009)

These were a unique two days.  We listened to testimonies of polish missionaries from Yakutia (Russia), India, Guatemala, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Croatia and Afghanistan about amazing works of God.

We learned that: „a Christian has three choices regarding missions, either to go, or to support, or to be disobedient”, “Missions is for ordinary Christians, who are yielded to God”, “God chose what is nothing, in order to shame the wise”, “First comes our calling and our decision to be obedient, then God gives resources and capabilities”, “People often think that church is a kind of hospital and they go there to cure themselves – but the Church is God’s army, called by Him to plunder Hell”,  “Don't be troubled by injustice which happens around the world - victory belongs ultimately to Christ and we are on the right side”,  “The darkest place is the best place for evangelization”,  “One man sows, another man reaps, but God expects from us consistency”,  “God’s power appears in the most difficult times”,  “In the most gloomy places we learned about Jesus, about His love and empathy for people”,  “Missions is clearing toilets – but not only this”.
