Apostle Paul mission trips

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

It always "pays" to go on such an outreach.  I've probably never before had an opportunity to see God so clearly overcame barriers, not only spiritual or cultural, but also physical limitation.  When a person doesn't know the language or feels somehow limited during a conversation about Him, you have to rely on Him, allow Him to lead you, and then the conversation turns out the best.  Besides that, after such a „hard core” event for the Lord, evangelism in the dorms in Poland seems like a piece of cake.   JOANNA

A mission trip is certainly a time of spiritual growth.  Of getting to know God and people better.  This helped me in breaking down barriers and resistance to stepping out towards others.  It also helped in looking at parables in new ways.  God taught me to concentrate on Him and not on fears.  The parables really touched me.  Although I knew them earlier, I began to look at them in a different light.  The parable of the Good Samaritan especially affected me.  It was very encouraging for me to see the reaction of the Czech students who, in spite of their declared atheism, often were interested in the Gospel. I realized on this outreach that without an individual time alone with God in the morning, I am spiritually weak.  After two days of being here, I noticed how Czechs are also people who need the Gospel.  I saw how really they were hungry for God, but never had had a chance to hear.  During conversations I felt close to them as if I had known them forever.  The Lord God put them on my heart. Incredible people, a great opportunity to see God work in daily life.  It was an encouraging time of persisting with God, remaining in a close relationship with Him.  This type of trip allows a person to view the world with a different perspective. MICHAŁ

Back home, God has probably never taught me so much about dependence on Him as on this outreach.  He showed me how important it is to depend on Him and only on Him.  Also, how the need of these people is so great.  It's not true at all, that they are totally closed.  God opens hearts.  Especially when it's not possible for others.  It's worth going, because nothing draws us closer to God than fulfilling His will.   ELA

It was worth going on this mission trip to the Czech Republic, because God is showing here how poor are the people who don't know God and how this has an affect on all of society.  God is calling us to take risks and be courageous in sharing the Gospel, and removes all the obstacles such as language.  God showed me through my time on this outreach how weakly I'm taking advantage of the good conditions for preaching the Gospel in Poland, which encourages me to be more active back home.  BEATA

I think that such a trip can prove to us that there are people, even close to us, who really don't know God and even if they did want to get to know Him, they don't really have the possibility.  God taught me that it's worth trusting Him, because by ourselves we just can't do it.  I understood too how evangelism in our country is different, even easier, and I should take advantage of that and evangelize the people around me.  MAŁGOSIA

A mission trip is a wonderful opportunity to take steps of faith.  A conversation with foreigners about God isn’t easy, but it brings a sense of satisfaction.  One of the strongest arguments for me for coming on this outreach was Jesus' command to preach the Gospel to every nation.  Besides that, one can forget about their studies for a week, visit Prague, get to know new people, and have a good time.  I learned that it's worth not giving up.  Even if from a human perspective a certain conversation with someone doesn't seem to bring effect, it's still important for God.   What matters is taking initiative and leaving the fruit to God.  ASIA

Before coming here I was curious if it was a good decision, or if I should be doing something different.  However after such an outreach I'm convinced that it was the right decision.  I was able to look at Bible stories in a deeper, more analytical way.  It allowed me to rebuild my relationship with Jesus.  In addition, getting to know the culture of a different nation became a good opportunity for me to use in telling others about God. DANIEL

It's worth going on a mission trip because a person leaves behind his home and country.  He has the chance to be open to a new world, people, and especially to God.  Often he discovers truth about himself, desires he has on his heart, relationship and intimacy with God.  This experience has been like swimming out into deep waters for me, into the unknown and experiencing the grace of God.  The Lord again gave me strength to trust Him.  I learned a lot, especially humility and surrendering to His will.   KATARZYNA

This type of trip gives many opportunities to share the Gospel with others who have never heard.  It's also an opportunity to get to know oneself, reactions in relationships with others, as well as deepening one's faith in a significant way.  Workshops we had as a group helped me to open up and to look at a few things deeper and in a different light.  After them I didn't have any problem going out to people who I had never met.   I think it was worth going.  What did God teach me?  A different way of looking at Bible passages.  I saw too that Czech students are open to talk, and that not that far away from us there are people living in a spiritual desert.  JEREMI

I feel that it's worth going on a mission trip for a few days, even if it is to get to know other students and their opinion about religion and Christianity.  But even more you can learn so much, realize and consider one's calling and gifts, and talents which the Lord God has given me so that I can serve Him 100%.  It was obvious that there is a huge need to preach the Gospel in the Czech Republic (as most certainly in other parts of the world).  You could see the continual working of God which is able to transform a human heart.  BASIA

You are always outside of your safety zone on such a trip, which is a great opportunity to trust God and rely on the Holy Spirit.  God showed me what I'm able to do, taught me humility, persistence and courage, and the mental strength in evangelism conversations. KASIA

I could see that really every person has a desire for God.  I learned humility, especially regarding my own strength and abilities.  They really are pretty useless when it comes to evangelism.  One needs to be humble towards His leading.  I got to know a different nation, and really go to like the Czechs.  I got to know wonderful people from Poland.  My faith in the Lord was strengthened. We studied NT parables.

"He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches."

We prayed about Czech students and about us, that God use us.

We shared God News with students in dormitories.
